  • CARMEN TONG GAO

    PRESIDENT, CO-FOUNDER

Carmen Gao immigrated to Canada in 1999, having previously held roles as PR, marketing, and sales management at multinational IT companies such as HP, SSA, and IBM. From 2000 to 2003, she worked in network hardware marketing in Toronto. After returning to China in 2003, she joined renowned IT giants including IBM, Symantec, VMware, and Citrix, managing sales channels across Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. With 18 years of IT industry experience, Carmen earned numerous accolades for her achievements.

In 2015, she returned to Toronto with her family and fully devoted herself to public service by co-founding the non-profit organization CCAA (Camping and Caravanning Association of America). She promoted a love and respect for nature within the Chinese community, using outdoor activities to facilitate cultural integration and improve physical and mental well-being.

Following the pandemic, Carmen became deeply aware of the challenges faced by immigrant families. She led her team in organizing high-quality medical and mental health seminars, actively supporting the community. After nine years of dedicated efforts, the organization—renamed "Ai Rong Association"—gained widespread recognition from both the community and the government, achieving Canadian charitable status in 2024.
